Who is Responsible? -Practice

                                                 Who is responsible?

Under age driving is a common thing to be found in Indonesia now days. But like any other under age driving, it is very dangerous because the child is not really ready to get behind the wheel. As physically maybe they are ready, but mentally and emotionally they are not fully develop yet. At the night of September 8 there is a horrifying accident that occurs at Toll Jagorawi, which involves a 13 years old celebrity son.  As the result 7 people are dead and many other are injured very bad. For the child (Dul) itself he gets a serial of surgeries to fix his backbone and feet.  Dul is the youngest son from Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianti. Many people blame his father for letting his son drove a car, but in my opinion I believe that Dul is the one who should be responsible for the action that he have done because Dul is the one who is behind the wheel.

At the night of the accident Dul is driving home from Bogor to his house at Jakarta where he should be at a wedding. He turn off his phone so nobody can contact him, his father which is very busy working, didn’t fully aware that his son is driving at that time. Because usually Dul is drove by his driver, but that day he ask his driver to take a day off and stole his brother racing car. There is much reason why Dul steal his brother car and take it for a ride.

Some people say that it is an expression of Dul anger toward his father and mother divorce back then a couple years ago. I understand as a kid with a broken family, it is a hard environment to grow as a teenager’s. However Dul is 13 Years old, and he is old enough to know what is right or wrong. Dul is not the only teenager’s that have a divorce parent. His 2 elder Brothers also must feel the lost from their parent divorce, but his elder brother chooses the right decision by listening to their father instruction.
So at the end of the day, it is Dul himself that should be responsible for what he have done because he already breaks the rule.
